About Neal

Neal Rosenthal is a fiery multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and musical director based out of New York City.   

Neal is acting musical director and performer for Elan Artists Highline, Brooke Taylor, Coffee Biscuits, Chris Borelli, MAK, Melaner, Neal Rosenthal presents The Red Note Project.

He can also be found playing with artists such as Leah Rich, Prints of Monaco, Rachel Rose, Element, Hudson Horns and Sound Society,

Solo Projects

In February of 2019, Neal released his debut album entitled The Red Note Project. Comprised of original jazz-fusion compositions that were inspired by his struggles with long lasting effects of traumatic brain injuries along with comforting memories of his upbringing in his home state of Rhode Island. Since the release, Neal has brought his music to and sold out venues such as City Winery, The Oberon Theater at American Rep, and The Triad Theatre. His sophomore release Blush was released February 8th 2022 and features a blend of trumpet, guitar and pedal steel. The Third installment of his Red Note Project is currently in the works and is set to be out in Winter of 2023.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Neal collaborated with Hip Hop and R&B artists Chris Borelli and Wyatt Smith to create 99 Degrees: The Album and the follow-up album, Burdens We Carry, was released in Spring of 2022.
